BollyX is a Bollywood-inspired high-intensity dance workout. It not only includes rhythms of Bollywood music but also incorporates sounds from south India, Indian folk, and desi-pop. It is a very inclusive and extremely beginner-friendly workout class. The instructor is certified to teach low impact as well which means the class is going to have super fun modifications as needed PLEASE NOTE: Non-residents are welcome to register and attend and must be accompanied by a registered resident.   *Please bring your own yoga mat, labeled water bottle Please arrive early enough to ensure that class can start on time

When followed truthfully and from the heart, Karate can become a lifestyle, which positively affects everything around us. You'll see an increase in self-confidence, coordination, ability to focus, general awareness, moderation, respect for others, and more appreciation for world values. Beginners simply learn, while the advanced polish their skills. Students need to purchase their uniforms online or from the instructor for about $50, but a uniform is not required to start. Personal protective equipment (helmet, shin protectors, and gloves) costs about $120 and is required starting with the second term. Occasionally, there might be additional costs for other equipment, belt gradings, or participation in related events (T-shirts, tournaments, inviting an advanced instructor, camps, etc). As applicable, students/parents must check with their doctor or medical clinic if medical conditions would prevent moderate to intense physical activities prior to attending classes and if allowed to participate, the instructor needs to be informed about any such medical conditions. Mat Pilates is a type of mind-body exercise that promotes not only strength, tone, and flexibility, but also improves your posture and reduces stress. The mat Pilates method aims to strengthen your core or "Powerhouse", lengthen the spine, build muscle tone, and increase body awareness. Following the six principles of control, breath, flow, precision, centering, and stability will help you gain all of these benefits while maintaining your body safely. The mat Pilates exercises are based on the resistance provided by your body's weight and gravity, and the workout is performed on the ground using an exercise mat. Once adding a mat Pilates workout to your routine and experience its benefits, it will provide the foundation for a lifetime of healthy habits.

The Babysitting course refreshed and revised, now has a greater emphasis on First Aid skills. The Canadian Red Cross Babysitting course covers everything from managing difficult behaviors to essential content on leadership and professional conduct as a babysitter. Babysitting promises to deepen and enhance the responsibility that older youth feel when caring for younger children. This updated curriculum, complete with new science, also provides improved learning when it comes to giving the appropriate care in the event of an emergency.   CourseContent

  • How to be responsible and demonstrate leadership
  • How to make good decisions and manage difficult behaviors
  • Information on children’s developmental stages, and specific strategies for each stage
  • How to feed, diaper, dress, and play with children and babies
  • How to recognize and prevent unsafe situations, make safe choices and promote safe behaviors

  • The business of babysitting

Classes are conducted once a week in one-hour sessions, using developmentally appropriate methods to introduce, practice, and refine gross motor skills. The programs reinforce the benefits of teamwork and skills development rather than the importance of winning, which enables children to gain confidence and develop the social skills necessary to succeed in sport and life. This class is appropriate for all levels!

This 1-day in-person session instructed by Impact First Aid & CPR is to educate youth aged 9 to 13 years on basic first aid and safety skills for when they are not under the direct supervision of a guardian or parent.The Stay Safe! program teaches applicable and age-appropriate skills while increasing and reinforcing a youth’s capacity to improve his or her own safety. Whether in their community or on their own, this group will be given better tools to Stay Safe! in a variety of different situations.Attendance is required to receive a certificate of completion:Participants will receive a Red Cross Stay Safe! manual, and a certificate upon completion of the program. Course Content:

  • Importance of responsibility and respect while being accountable for yourself
  • Importance of setting and following rules around safety when staying on your own
  • How to stay safe at home and within the community
  • How to prepare, recognize and respond to unexpected situations, (i.e. inclement weather, strangers, unanticipated visits)

Students will also learn about x-rays, broken bones, how they are treated, and the understand the roles of radiologists and orthopedic surgeons. Students will also practice how to do a broken bone assessment and learn about splinting and taping. Our future MDs will get an introduction on how to perform CPR as well as saving someone who is choking with the Heimlich maneuver. They will also learn how the body gets energy from food as well as understanding the link between body weight and disease.

Our young aspiring veterinarians will find their passions come alive in this fun educational journey through the medical profession. Our Little Veterinarians will learn about veterinarian team roles necessary to have in a veterinarian clinic and understand the use of x-rays and its importance for dog examination. Through interactive and engaging activities, students will learn and explore the dog’s digestive system and eye health. Students will also have a better understanding of a dog’s body language which is a skill veterinarians learned to develop. Students will be receiving their own Little Veterinarian School plush dog and lightweight white coats to keep, learn about new medical words and learn about to the careers in veterinary medicine. Students learn techniques for concentrating, reducing stress, and connecting to their bodies in a loving way, while still being playful and fun. Classes often revolve around a philosophical theme and may include discussion, journaling, or mindful art. Most importantly we are going to create community and FUN in a safe environment for kids to just be kids and show up as uniquely as they are.

Sip on the beverage of your choosing while getting step-by-step instructions to guide you in creating your own masterpiece. Enjoy an evening full of creativity, fun and playful release. After all, anyone can paint! 

Come hang out with friends and explore your creative side while painting colorful cactuses and rejuvenate your soul and mind.

All materials are supplied plus guided instructions and techniques to create a masterpiece you take home at the end of the night.

All supplies will be provided - canvas, paints, brushes and include one free Alcohol or Non Alcohol beverage. Additional drinks are available for $4. This is an 18+ event.
