Canada Day Event Info & Fireworks Clarification

OH CANADA! 🍁

We are ONE day away! Don’t forget to join us at the Beach Club tomorrow, July 1st from 1:00pm – 4:00pm, to celebrate Canada! 🇨🇦

It will be a day filled with fun – live music, food trucks – Elephant Ears & Kona Ice, and special guests Choo Choo the Clown, Woody and Buzz Lightyear. Please note that this event is NOT open to the public.

For clarification, there will be NO fireworks at our upcoming Canada Day event tomorrow, July 1, 2022.

Last year, we moved our fireworks display from Canada Day to our Summer Carnival event. With further discussion between Management and our Board of Directors, we have chosen to do the same this year.

Reasons for this include that there are already multiple firework offerings throughout the city and surrounding areas. Moving our fireworks event allows residents to still attend other firework displays, while also providing them with an exclusive Lake Summerside event later in the summer.

Having our fireworks display occur on a day that doesn’t conflict or compete with other municipal Canada Day firework shows also allows us access to a bigger and better firework display, including launching from a barge in the middle of the lake. This creates a higher quality show for the people of our community.

We can’t wait to have you join us at the Beach Club this summer and at our Summer Carnival & Fireworks event on August 12! Check out our website for more details > www.lakesummerside.ca
